Description

Since the other snake was identified as the Rat Snake, then this guy is the Milk Snake. (Correction:  I was wrong!  Thanks to :iconmanitouwolf: and :iconpitbulllady: I now have the correct identification! ) This isn't a Milk Snake; this is a King Snake!  I'm gonna stop trying to name these guys and name them Snake #1, Snake #2, and Snake #3! :giggle:

Anyway, I was pleased that I once again got that little tongue out investigating his world!!!  The sheen on him is so beautiful too!

This isn't a Milk Snake; ManitouWolf was correct.  It is an Eastern Black King Snake(Lampropeltis getula nigra).  Here is a pic of another one for comparison: ectotherms.net/kyherpsoc/kyapp… and a photo of an Eastern Milk Snake: c2.staticflickr.com/8/7124/754…; .  As you can see, they look nothing at all alike.
